AN ADDRESS TO THE DEITY.
O thou most worthy to be prais'd, ador'd!
Eternal, boundless, and almighty Lord.
Who as a curtain drew the firm'ment forth;
Who took and upon nothing hung the earth;
While all the morning stars together sung,
And from thy sons loud hallelujahs rung;
. . . [48 lines] [signed] Propertius.
